Star, from New Zion Kennels, came to live with us after Homecoming this past summer, to be Tango's new wife.

She was wonderful from the start!

Star was 16 months old and raised in the kennels at New Zion when she came here to live. In less than a week she could run off leash with our other dogs. Her medium-soft temperament and her sense of humor make her playful and she loves to give kisses on your face - whether you are bent over to pet her, lying on the couch, or standing up. Our other dog Sparky loves the new addition - she and Star wrestle by the hour.

On Star's first trip to town she gladly let 2 strangers pet her and the only thing that seemed to upset her was that big noisy thing my husband was pushing around the parking lot full of groceries. But she came out from behind me to investigate the cart when asked to.

The laundry room is Star's new den. She has a sneaky habit of stealing things from around the house to pad her bed with- things we have retrieved out of her bed include: dog toys, all sorts of clothing, pop can, plastic glass, newspaper, thermometer, peanut butter jar, and of course shoes are a daily item of retrieval. My husband and I can both get what we need without ANY protest- she doesn't chew the items she takes, she just lays with them.

Star loves to be with people and has started her obedience training.
