Stonecold has the personality of an ultimate pet!
He has grown up with 2 rowdy boys who really test a dog's reliability with kids, and he passes with flying colors. The only way he'd hurt anyone is by knocking them down in an overly zealous greeting or stepping on them!
He's friendly and gentle with kittens and little puppies and abusive babies! But he isn't timid or fearful of anything either, but very curious, and has to stick his nose into everything, check out every sound and sight.
He loves to do agility - over the A-frame, jumps, ditches and play "zook" which is finding a toy we hide (or a kid!) and let him sniff the scent and then off to search out the hidden... whatever!
First he got his CGC, then passed the Therapy dog tests, so now officially with TDI... can go to hospitals, nursing homes, schools, anywhere therapy dogs are welcomed.
We chose the library as my grandsons, 7 and 12 will go with us each week. Stonecold is our town's only READ... Reading Education Assistance Dog. He lays on his "blankie" and my grandsons will start reading, then other kids come over to check out the dog, and we tell them that Stonecold would love to have them read or tell him a story... the little ones who can't read, are good at making up their own versions of a book as they turn a page and look at the pictures.
He is well known around town, his name better recognized than mine! I was walking with him about to cross a street, and was saying "Stonecold WAIT" as a car was turning in... the lady driving the turning car looked out the window at us, smiled and hollered out "DONT YELL AT STONECOLD!" It was funny, as it wasn't even our town, but the next one 10 miles west of us!
